The Fahrenkrug LAB
an interdisciplinary materials and electrochemistry research group at Colorado College studying the influence of large electric fields on molecular crystallization, assembly, and sensing.
What We do
SENSORS
We use bipolar electrochemistry to develop simple, cheap, and open-source sensors for point-of-use analysis of drinking water contaminants.
CRYSTAL GROWTH
We explore the influence of very large interfacial electric fields on the kinetic selectivity of molecular polymorph crystallization.
CITIZEN SCIENCE
The Fountain Valley Water Project is a non-profit, non-partisan community-centered research group entirely focused on PFAS contamination in Southern Colorado.
